that dish: how the world eats

With World Food Day happening just yesterday, it seems appropriate to share this fascinating photo essay. Photographers Peter Menzel and Faith D’Aluisio’s series Hungry Planet: What the World Eats exams a week of groceries in the lives of families from across the globe. From the United States to Germany, Chad, Japan and everywhere in between it’s incredible to see the differences in how each culture consumes food.
