April 4-7: Image Masters

One of the biggest fine art photography shows in the world is in New York City this weekend and is an event that art lovers should not miss. The Association of International Photography Art Dealers’ annual show showcases some of history’s best photographic images from early 19th century works to contemporary expressions. April 6: Community Cookbook

It’s often you and your neighbors, rather than restaurants, that have the best recipes on the block. Accordingly, the Runcible Spoon is hosting a recipe swap in the form of a community cookbook event. Participants bring their recipes and food related inspirations and the Runcible Spoon will provide the rest. At night’s end, a crowd-sourced community cookbook will be made and available online for all to use. The Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, 8-10PM

April 6: Brews for Man’s Best Friend

Beer Advocate and Sixpoint are coming together for the third year to raise funds for man’s best friend. Proceeds from the sale of exclusively crafted brews and artisanal vegetarian fare will go towards benefitting the Humane Society of New York. The Bell House, 149 7th Ave, Brooklyn, 1PM

April 6: Pillows in the Park

This Saturday, pillows are the weapon of choice. Thousands will flock to Washington Square Park for the eighth annual NYC Pillow Fight fiesta. This lighthearted event is more than just fun, pillows that manage to escape the fight unscathed will be donated to homeless shelters and arts organizations that need them. April 7: Oopa!

It’s Greek Independence Day and that means it’s time to break out the ouzo! Stix Mediterranean Grill will be breaking out the libations for an all day festival to celebrate the holiday. April 8: Tap & Tapas

April 8: Crawfish Countdown

Crawfish season is upon us! To celebrate the tiny crustaceans Chelsea’s Willow Road is hosting a Low Country Crawfish boil that will feature crawfish along with other essential sides.
