February 22- March 3: Ode to Ale
New York City Beer Week is back, with hundreds of events throughout the city to celebrate our various brews. Hosted by the NYC’s Brewers Guild the second year of this annual festival is promised to kick beer’s profile in New York City into high gear. February 25: Warm Up Winter
Pork and beans are the perfect way to warm up your day and French cassoulet may be the best interpretation of the classic combination. Back Forty‘s “Cassoulet Festival” will celebrate five interpretations of the dish created by master chefs including Alex Raij of Txikito, Mike Laarhoven of Back Forty, Shanna Pacifico of Back Forty West, Nick Anderer of Maialino and Tom Mylan of the Meat Hook. A $65 ticket will get you access to the savory creations as well as beverages (extra $) and a donation to to New Amsterdam Market, and their artisanal produce project. February 25: Charity Chicken
Fried chicken specialists Seersucker are hosting a fundraiser centered on the Southern dish. All proceeds raised during the three-course dinner event will go towards benefitting the P.S. 58 Kids’ Vegetable Garden. The price fixe menu is $50 and reservations to the event can be made here.
