November 5-11: Laugh Out Loud

There are still 3 nights left to enjoy the comedy bonanza that has taken over this city. National acts join beloved locals and venues throughout the five boroughs in a weeklong event that brings laughs to the city in a much needed time. November 9-10: Big Buck, Big Bucks

The classic college bar game can also be considered big business. The Big Buck World Championship will take over the Altman Building this weekend for a two-day event that will culminate in the doling out of over $50,000 is prize money. Try your luck and hopefully you’ll be able to start paying back some of those beer tabs. Altman Building, 135 West 18th Street, $12 entrance fee

November 9- 11: Chocolate Lovers Rejoice

With the brutal weather we’ve had the last few weeks, New Yorkers could use a sweet treat. The New York Chocolate show is brining the city just that- the two day event brings together chocolate companies of world renowned from all over the globe to celebrated the beloved dessert. Samples of various chocolate confections and goodies for purchase will of course be available as well as live cooking demonstrations, book signings and more. November 10: Don’t Forget the Wine

All the talk of Turkey’s for Thanksgiving, it’s easy to forget about the other integral dinner component: wine. To ensure your choice of vino matches your Thanksgiving meal, Bottlerocket Wine & Spirit is hosting a series of tastings that will help you through the holiday season. November 11: Veterans Day Parade

Show your support for the troops that have helped make this country great by heading over to Fifth Avenue for the city’s annual Veterans Day Parade. The patriotic Parade is celebrating its’ 50th year and is sure to be a real party on the streets. Fifth Ave. between 26th St. and 56th St., 10 AM- 

November 11: Pickles on Peck

That years Pickle Festival was such a hit that the New Amsterdam Market has decided to make it an annual event. Head on down to the Old Fulton Fish Market at the Peck Slip to enjoy a day of all things pickled. Participants on board include Adamah, Divine Brine Foods and my favorite, Horman’s Best among many more. Check out my post from last years fest to get an idea of the salty goodness you’re sure to encounter. New Amsterdam Market, South Street between Beekman Street and Peck Slip, 11 AM- 5 PM

November 15: Latkes and Caviar

Deli food is given a gourmet twist at this Stella Artois hosted evening that showcases the classic comfort staples. Of course, no Stella Artois sponsored event would be complete without all you can drink amounts of the famed brew. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased here.
