February 3: Battle of the Boroughs

This battle seeks to determine which of our lovely boroughs is the most musically proficient. The event is more like a series, the first performance scheduled for Friday featuring Brooklyn. Each performance will corwn a champion of each borough.  Then, the competition will reach its apex when the five borough winners face off against one another for bragging rights and a coveted slot at Summerstage. February 4: The Girl & the Book

Girl & the Goat executive chef and Top chef winner Stephanie Izard has come to NYC. She will be reading from her new book at the Beard House as part of the foundation‘s monthly literary series. Hear her insider tips, recipes and inspiration Saturday at noon. Reservations are accepted but walk-ins are welcome. The Beard House, 167 West 12th Street, 212 627 2308, $20 suggested donation

February 4: Wined and Dined

Quench your thirst at the 2nd Annual NYC Winter Wine Festival. Pair the more than 200 wines present with light food tastings while listening to a bevy of live music performances. February 4: A Wintery Art Crawl

Take a stroll through the Lower East Side and the Bowery this Saturday with Artlog. Stops at each gallery include wine and beer tastings followed by a raging after party at aptly named Gallery Bar. Feb 5: Game On

February 6- 11: Top Chef Pops Up

City Grit is hosting six nights of dinners, all showcasing the skills of Top Chef Texas contestant Ty-Lör Boring. Each five-course meal will reflect his French and Austrian training and will cost you $75. A perfect early Valentine’s Day gift for those significant others and Bravo fans.
