December 2-7: Pizza Bazaar

Renowned Roberta’s of Bushwick is hosting a delicious holiday bazaar. Festive fare and locally made goods will be available to peruse and purchase. In the spirit of the holidays, entry is free. December 2-3: Winterfest

December 3: the Brooklyn Flea goes indoors

Fear not, summer time Brooklyn Flea is not gone for the season. They’ve just gone indoors. The vendors from the favorite summertime market have moved the wares under the heated roof Skylight One Hanson. The market will be open every Saturday through the end of March. Skylight One Hanson, 1 Hanson Place, Fort Greene Brooklyn, 10AM- 5PM

December 3: Cotto vs. Margarito

Defending WBA World Light Middleweight Champion Miguel Cotto lays his title on the line against Antonio Margarito, who defeated him in 2008 (just one of two blemishes on Cotto’s professional record). Fights on the undercard include the WBA World Lightweight Championship. Tickets to the event can be purchased through radiocity.com. Madison Square Garden, 7th Ave between 33rd and 31st Streets, 7PM

December 3-4: Slow Food, done right

This two day tasting event highlights local food producers and their products. Attendees will have the chance to taste and purchase a variety of products all done on a small scale. Bites to try: Jojo’s Sriracha Chili Sauce, Yolanda’s pestos and The Jam Stand amongst others. Saturday’s event will be held at Jimmy’s No. 43 and tickets cost $10. December 4: SmorgasBrewery

With this summer’s Smorgasburg such a big hit and beer a perennial top choice for imbibing it’s only natural that the SmorgasBrewery would eventually come about. Launching this Sunday, a rotating cast of the markets favorite snacks will be available for purchase at the Brooklyn Brewery. The opening week lineup will feature: Brooklyn Oyster Party, Kumquat Cupcakery, Landhaus (BLTs, lamb burgers), Mile End (smoked meat, more), and Shorty Tang & Sons (cold sesame noodles, dumplings). December 4: and yet, another BEERFEST

Roberta’s has a full weekend planned. On Sunday, the restaurant will host their annual BEERFEST. The day of brews will include 10 teams, a bevy of beer based games, delicious plates and intense competition. Doors open at 12PM, games begin at 2PM.
