November 5-10: Schnitzel Galore
Loreley Restaurant & Biergarten will hold its first annual Schnitzelfest from Saturday, November 5 through Thursday, November 10. The menu will feature eleven types of schnitzels, plus two vegetarian options. 7 Rivington St # A, 12PM- late night
November 6: Run NYC, Run
The big race is back. This Sunday over 45,000 runners will take to the streets of New York for the annual NYC Marathon. Covering 26.2 miles from start to finish the course takes runners through all of NYC’s five-boroughs. Be a part of NYC culture and go out to cheer on the racers. Official start time is still TBD but will begin to finish around 9:30AM at Central Park
November 6: Meat Week
The New Amsterdam Market kicks off Meat Week this weekend. Events include a grass-fed buffalo cutting demonstration and talks on the art of leather tanning amongst others. Ticket prices vary by event and a full schedule can be found here. This is not one for the veggies of the group. New Amsterdam Market School, 224 Front Street 12- 4PM
November 6: Blue Moon Bash
Blue Moon Fish is throwing a bash for its farmer friends whose land was flooded during Hurricane Irene. One hundred percent of the benefits from the event, which will include live bands, a raffle and a cornucopia of food, will benefit the farmers.
