Hundreds of local artisans and designers will line West 21st Street to help fund PS11’s arts programs. Stop by to purchase various goods ranging from cashmere hoodies and silk screen pillows to jewelery and house hold wares. West 21st Street (between 8th and 9th Aves), 10 AM- 5 PM, rain or shine

October 15- 16: openhousenewyork

This weekend landmark buildings and residences throughout the five boroughs open their doors to the public. As one of America’s largest architectural events openhousenewyork features guided tours, performances, workshops and more. Additional info and schedule of events can be found here.

October 15-16: The Creators Project

Interactive art, installations, musical performance, film screenings and more come to DUMBO after traveling the globe. The events mark the dawn of a new era of creative exploration powered by the technological leaps and bounds that are changing the world. On Saturday there will be live musical performances by Florence + the Machine, Atlas Sound and Company Flow among others. The event is free but an rsvp is required. To do so, click here.

October 19: Edible Escape

The Edibles host their inaugural travel tasting event in conjunction with their travel issue. Featuring New York chefs, sommeliers and foragers, the event brings together two dozen travel destinations paired with the food and drink that go with them. Tickets for the event are $40 and can be bought here. Angel Orensanz Center, 172 Norfolk Street, 6- 9 PM

October 19: Austria in the Haus

Go on a culinary journey to Austria sampling creations of celebrated New York chefs along with an excellent selection of Austrian wines including Austria’s signature grape, Gruener Veltliner. October 24: Tenement Tasting

This modern take on classic “borscht belt” cuisine with the team behind Kutsher’s Tribeca, including Zach Kutsher & Jeffrey Chodorow, will feature house-made pastrami & gefilte fish with beet & horseradish tartar.
